I thought we could share some of our favorite sites. Here are some of mine:

http://www.nonesoblind.org/
This is a very thoughtful, intelligent, if a bit wordy, site dedicated to doing something about the decay of our culture and the related evils going on in our government. A very intellectual blog also.

http://nontrivialpursuits.org/
This site contains some of the most lucent descriptions of economics and politics I have ever seen. Please please please read it. The blog is woefully inactive -- I would like to activate it. But read about economics, and, especially, The Republican Nemesis.

This is a Unitarian-Universalist site, but the page I am linking is about a wholistic university in the planning stages. I can dream, can't I?

His blog varies from completely petty to absolutely brilliant. I link below his most fascinating essay, in five parts.

Satanism is Alive and Well. An essay. Not long. About inverted Christians. Share it.

Christians in the Hands of an Angry God. A five-part essay using bible quotes to prove that the "Christian Right" are really Satanists and how everything they tout is really the opposite of what the bible recommends. Share this one too. It's really important to get this idea out there -- it is essentially "the emperor has no clothes".

This one is not directly political. It is about a company that has engineered a way to build houses that allows them to heat and cool themselves using a geothermal loop. It doesn't seem to require fiddling, and it's a brilliant idea. I would like to see more awareness of it. They don't advertise because they seem to have all the customers they can handle. There is, however, a call for franchisees somewhere on the website, if you're interested.

Those are my favorites(at least the ones I thought appropriate for this site). What are yours?

I see that there have been 18 viewings of the post above, but not one response.

Hey guys, let me know what you think: did you check out any of the sites? did you like them? Did you read the essays? Is the solar heated and cooled house not a great idea?

Do you have some of your own to share? What do you really like and want to pass on to others?

Here is a link to a rather long article that I thought was really really good and you should read it. It's on the 'None So Blind" site that I mentioned before:

http://www.nonesoblind.org/blog/?p=147

It's called Moral Endo-skeletons and Exo-skeletons: A Perspective on America's Cultural Divide and Current Crisis

and here is another one:

http://www.nonesoblind.org/blog/?p=146

it's called Why We've Been Losing: Fieldnotes from Progressive America

Thanks Kim. The Endo-skeletons posting is brilliant. I've been visiting Nonesoblind for a while (I forgot where I found it - maybe in your postings Smile but I missed that piece.

IMO Schmookler is one of the most insightful social analysts writing today, anywhere, in any medium. He's said some kind words about the memepolice too. Thanks for bringing his work to our attention.

Here's another one, on a completely different subject:

Here is the hydrogen car Honda is planning on getting into general production in just a few (3 to 4!) years. It's really cute. But, if you read the article all the way to the end, you will see that they have adopted a variant of what we have been advocating: producing hydrogen fuel in your home for your own car! Note, they want to make it from natural gas, whereas we want to make it from water and solar panel or windmill electricity, but at least it starts the meme of doing it in your home!

Andy has updated his essay mentioned above:

Moral Exo-Skeletons and Endo-Skeletons: A Key Divide in the American Body Politic

http://www.nonesoblind.org/blog/?p=345

For those of you who haven't read it yet, please go and read it. Then read Sara Robinson's essays.
