At some point we must recognize that there is a disconnect between the "mainstream media" and reality. We must accept that for whatever reason, reason is ignored by the media.

We must also accept that those who support the republicans will not listen to reason, they are brainwashed by the noise machine.

Our approach to saving our democracy must involve this fact: republicans, the media and those Americans brainwashed by the noise machine, want to do us other Americans harm, the way a foreign enemy would want to do us harm.

This is a concept which is very difficult for some of us to accept. My observation is that our toughtest opponents to freedom (bush and co.) will never find common ground. Neocons have NO interest in freedom, except their own.

We must work around the obstacles to freedom, rather than through them. Although the supplications to the media should continue, it will not get the job done.

The courts are still not yet fully controlled by the criminal element Wink and neither is the internet.

We need to take back the media, do something to ensure the elections are honest, and wake up America to her liberal, idealistic roots. We need to teach people what "Freedom" means, not just how to use it as a rallying cry while limiting actual freedom. We need to combat fear and greed and selfishness and the Republican myth that if each of us does what is best for us, that will result in the best for all.
We need to awaken America to the Satanism practised by the Religious Right, and how evil it is.
We need to educate the populace in how economics actually works. According to James Kroeger, raising the taxes on rich people will actually not decrease their buying power at all but will stimulate the economy. If that is true, and he explains how it works so it appears so, then it is counter-intuitive and therefore must be taught. Here's the link:

How are we to do this?
